Welz & Weisel Communications Expands Strategic Public Relations Team
Rapidly Growing Technology Focused PR Firm Adds Director and Account Executive
Fairfax, VA - August 20, 2007 - Welz & Weisel Communications, a strategic public relations firm 100 percent focused on creating awareness and credibility campaigns for information technology companies, today announced the addition of Jennifer Aleknavage as director and Suzanne Linville as account executive. As a seasoned communications professional, Aleknavage will play an integral role in account management, strategic planning and business development. In her new role at Welz & Weisel Communications, Linville is responsible for a wide variety of tasks ranging from media relations to strategic counsel while providing general account support.
Aleknavage will leverage her 13 years of experience in public relations, marketing and strategic planning, which spans business-to-business, business-to-government as well as business-to-consumer high-technology. Previously as a communications manager for LexisNexis, a leading provider of information services and solutions, Aleknavage led the internal and external communications strategies for the U.S. corporate markets, including support for global product launches. She created several successful public relations campaigns to garner regional and national media coverage and awards. Before LexisNexis, she was director of public relations for ISM, Inc., which specializes in customer relationship management consulting for Fortune 500 companies. In this role, she was responsible for managing the firm's PR efforts and ISM's Top 15 CRM Software Awards.
Linville is an accomplished public relations professional having worked with large, mid-size and small start-up companies in consumer, business-to-business and technology. Prior to joining Welz & Weisel Communications, Linville worked with 104 West Partners, in Denver, CO, supporting small, start-up technology companies in the Denver and Seattle markets. Before 104 West, she was at Weber Shandwick Worldwide where she supported the Microsoft Mobile and Embedded Devices Group, Credit Suisse, Cyota (now part of RSA Security) and MRM Worldwide. In addition, Linville received the "Rookie of the Year" award while working at MWW Group for outstanding work achievement on clients including Amazon.com, WeddingChannel.com and1-800-Flowers.
